Teenage boy charged with murdering cyclist in Bristol

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murdering a motorcyclist, after he died in a fatal collision. 

Avon and Somerset Police said the motorcyclist died on Friday evening after he collided with a parked van in Hartcliffe, Bristol.

The man died at the scene. 

Officers believe an object have been obstructing the road at the time of the incident.

Multiple local Bristolians on social media suggested that the 15-year-old threw a push bike into the path of the motorcyclist. 

One user said: ‘I’ve heard a bike was thrown on the road.’

Police arrested the boy on Saturday in connection with the fatality, before charging him with murder and causing danger to road users on Sunday evening. 

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the incident at Fulford Road, Hartcliffe to ring 101 and quote reference 5219074240.
